Members Equity is sponsoring BBQs at construction sites in Darwin for CFMEU members at 9.30 morning smoko during 2011.

The NT Branch of the union brings the portable BBQ and CFMEU members can get a bacon, egg and sausage sandwich, plus soft drink or water for FREE.

Non-members are asked to contribute $5. No ticket, no free barby. But if you want to join on the day, of course you get a free feed.

"The first BBQ for 2011 at the Leightons job at Channel Island was put on by CFMEU, ETU and AMWU together, and more than 50 blokes got a good feed that morning," says CFMEU NT Organiser Mick Huddy.

BBQs have been held at smaller sites since and more planned for coming months.
