Ark Tribe trial update

Ark Tribe 18th December 2009 Report Back

Last Friday Ark Tribe entered the Magistrate Court with the chant of  “One law for all” ringing in his ears as hundreds of well wishers showed their support for his principled stand.

Prior to entering the court Ark thanked his family and others for sticking by him and giving him strength and support. He made mention of his teenage son, Jake, and wondered what type of world he [Jake] would inherit if all other people weren’t prepared to stand up for their rights. Ark then thanked all his supporters wishing them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The court hearing only lasted a short time while the magistrate and lawyers organised and co-ordinated dates suitable for next year. Unfortunately the best they could come up with was the 15th, 16th and 18th of June - another 6 months wait for Ark.

During the discussions Ark’s QC, Michael Abbott, flagged his intentions to serve a subpoena on the ABCC for failure to produce further documents relevant to Ark’s defense which the ABCC has refused to provide.

The Saga will continue in the New Year and we will keep members informed. For more information on Ark Tribe go to Rights on Site and Ark's Tribe.
