Rally for Ark Tribe - December 18th 2009

There will be a sausage sizzle held at Victoria Square (South end) before Ark Tribe's next appearance in the Adelaide Magistrate's Court. Be there at 11am to show your support for Ark!<--break-> Watch his family's message on how much this support means to them all here or on You Tube.

Ark Tribe is facing 6 months jail for allegedly attending a safety meeting on site and refusing to dob in his workmates when instructed by the Australian Building Construction Commission (ABCC) to attend their inquisition.

As a construction worker he had no right to remain silent; he was expected to incriminate his self and/or his workmates because the law says he must.

There has been no suggestion or indication from the employers, the ABCC, or those prosecuting that Ark Tribe was involved in any activity which breached any law nor has he been charged with any breaches of the law other than the accusation that he failed to attend an ABCC inquisition.

No one should be jailed or threatened jail because they believe it is the right of all citizens in a democratic country to remain silent.

Be there and let Ark know you care.

See Rights on Site website to send a Christmas Card to Kevin Rudd with a One Law For All Australian workers message.
