The CFMEU congratulates Construction Assistant Divisional Secretary Lindsay Fraser on his being made a Member of the Order of Australia in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, yesterday.

Lindsay was rewarded for "service to industrial relations in the building and construction industries, to vocational education and training, and to youth". He has been CFMEU Construction's National Training Officer for many years.

"I'd forgotten how many things I'd been Chair of!" Lindsay said, on being notified of the Award.

"But it has been a priviledge to represent workers and the AM is as much for the Union and in recognition of the work trade unions do for our members and the community.  It is an honour for the Union," Lindsay said.
