SA workers rally for Industry Standards
South Australian construction workers rallied in Adelaide today in support of an agreement on terms and conditions of employment for the industry in the State.
Workers are calling on employers and their representative associations, such as the MBA, to engage with the CFMEU to set industry standards.
They want employers to stop undercutting these standards; stop the exploitation of workers on sites; and a return of the level playing field, so that companies win jobs on merit, not on ripping off their workers.
The rally took place at 11.00am in Victoria Square, Adelaide and was attended by CFMEU Construction National Secretary Dave Noonan.
