Notice of Rule Alteration Applications

 

  • The Construction, Forestry, Mining, and Energy Union (CFMEU) has made application to the Fair Work Commission pursuant to s 158A of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 (Cth) for the consent of the General Manager to an alteration to the union’s eligibility rules to extend them to persons within the eligibility rules of an organisation of employees that is registered under a State industrial law, being the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (New South Wales Branch) (CFMEUNSW). The application seeks the inclusion of a new rule 2P in the CFMEU’s rules. The proposed new rule 2P incorporates rule 2 of the CFMEUNSW, with some minor amendments to adjust for cross-referencing.

The application seeks the inclusion of a new rule 2Q in the CFMEU’s rules. The proposed new rule 2Q incorporates rule 4 of the CFMEUW, minus what is currently sub-rule 4 of rule 4 into the CFMEU’s rules.
